Our offerings

Mother's groups at Embrace
Where shared experience meets professional guidance
Small group sessions for parents navigating the early months, grounded in the Possums/NDC approach. We talk openly about sleep, feeding and emotional wellbeing, while building connection - with your baby, yourself, and a supportive community

Women's Circles
Cut the small talk and connect deeply with other mums who get it.
If you're wondering where the village went, feeling isolated or craving community, maybe a Women's Circle is for you.
This is an advice-free zone where you can reflect on the highs and lows of your mothering experience, honour your transition to motherhood, and practice simple tools and strategies to ground yourself through the waves of day-to-day parenting life.
Fill your cup, listen deeply, share openly and be heard.

General Practice Care
For any age, any gender
Your health story matters. Our GPs take the time to understand your needs so your care feels personal and supportive. From everyday concerns to ongoing health management, we offer clear guidance, compassionate treatment and a steady place to turn to whenever you need it.

Antenatal Shared Care
Women planning to give birth at The Wollongong Hospital (public) may choose the Shared Care model for their antenatal care.
With shared care, the majority of your pregnancy appointments are with your GP, with a smaller number of visits at the hospital antenatal clinic. This model supports continuity of care, allowing you to be cared for by a GP who understands your medical history, values, and family context — and who can continue to support you and your family well beyond the six-week post-partum period.
As part of our commitment to holistic perinatal care, we also offer our shared care patients a discounted antenatal breastfeeding appointment, should they wish to access this additional support.

Medical Termination of Pregnancy
Decisions about continuing a pregnancy are personal and vary for each individual.
We provide compassionate, confidential Medical Termination of Pregnancy care in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Appointments are unhurried and centre on your physical wellbeing, emotional needs and informed choice.
You will be supported by an experienced GP, with clear information, personalised care, and tailored follow up.

Contraception and IUD insertion
If now is not the time for you to be adding to or starting your family, we offer comprehensive advice on contraception. Together we can find a contraceptive method that works for you. We perform insertion of the contraceptive rod (Implanon) and hormonal IUD’s (Mirena/Kyleena). We can also advise on emergency contraception and are accredited providers of Medical Termination of Pregnancy.

Home Visits
Gentle, evidence-based perinatal GP care in the comfort of your own home
Perfect for the early weeks after birth, when it feels easiest to stay close to home, these longer visits allow for calm, unhurried care in your own space — ideal for postnatal support, feeding and sleep guidance.

Preparation for Parenthood
Becoming and Beyond: Pregnancy and Early Parenting Consults
Supporting you through the transition to parenthood
These holistic sessions weave together medical care with space for reflection on identity, relationships and expectations. We explore breastfeeding, infant sleep, and perinatal mental health within a compassionate, evidence-based framework - helping you navigate early parenthood with confidence and connection.
It is ideal for the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, before bub arrives.

Skin Checks
Our skin checks provide a thorough, unhurried assessment of your skin, with a focus on early detection and prevention. Appointments are performed by experienced GPs using dermoscopy to assess moles and skin lesions, and to identify signs of skin cancer or other concerning changes.
We take the time to review your personal and family history, sun exposure, and any specific spots of concern. Where needed, we can arrange monitoring, biopsy, or treatment, and coordinate follow-up care.

Lactation Support (IBCLC and NDC)
A breastfeeding consult provides unhurried, compassionate support for parents navigating feeding challenges or seeking reassurance in the early weeks and beyond.
These appointments are run by GP’s who are NDC accredited and/or IBCLC. These appointments offer both medical and lactation-focused care in one integrated visit.
This extended consultation allows time for a full feeding history, observation of a breastfeed, assessment of infant growth and wellbeing, and consideration of maternal health factors.
We support concerns such as pain with feeding, latch difficulties, low or oversupply, slow weight gain, reflux-like symptoms, nipple trauma, mastitis, and complex feeding journeys including mixed or combination feeding.
Care is evidence-based and individualised, with practical strategies and a clear management plan tailored to your family.
Marisa can also perform tongue-tie assessments and tongue-tie release where required.

Deeper Support Consults
For when early parenthood feels harder than expected
These sessions offer space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening - whether that’s challenges with feeding, unsettled sleep, or emotional overwhelm. Together we look beneath the surface, exploring both practical strategies and the deeper patterns that might be adding stress. Grounded the possums/NDC approach, these consults support you to feel calm, confident, and reconnected with your baby.

Sleep Support Consults
A sleep coaching consultation is a gentle, supportive space to explore your child’s sleep and find ways to bring more rest and ease to your family.
Appointments run for about an hour and are led by a GP trained in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) and/or the Holistic Sleep Coaching approach. Together, we look at the bigger picture — your child’s sleep patterns, feeding, temperament, and emotional needs, as well as what’s happening for you as a parent.
Rather than using rigid routines or separation-based methods, we work on understanding your child’s natural sleep biology and supporting responsive, realistic strategies that fit your family’s values and stage of life.
The aim is to help you feel confident, connected, and supported — with practical ideas to make nights (and days) a little easier for everyone.

Feeding Support Consults
